Essential Criteria

 

  • Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council
  • Must have a minimum of 6 months' experience working within Hospital/Nursing Homes


It is essential that Registered Nurses have

 

  • Kept their mandatory training updated ( see below ).
  • Completed an Access NI check with Carrik Care.
  • Provide evidence of vaccinations ( see below ).

TRAINING AS PER PRIVATE REQUIREMENTS (& RQIA LEGISLATIVE REQUIREMENTS):

 

  • Fire Safety
  • Manual Handling
  • CPR
  • Infection Prevention and Control
  • Protection of Vulnerable Adults And Children
  • First Aid
  • Administration of Medications (RN)

 

VACCINATION REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • BCG (Tuberculosis)
  • Measles
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella (Chicken Pox)

 

If New To The Trust, Must Also Have Negative Readings For:

  • Hepatitis C
  • HIV 1 & 2

 

(Results must be from a UK based laboratory)
